From Norma Walsh Parks & Recreation for Maricopa County http://www.maricopa.gov/parks/ This website is great for several things. There are Wildflower Updates for the parks on it. They're usually updated once a week or so by the Park Rangers. With the updates you can decide when a good time to go would be if you're interested in wildflowers. There's also a calendar of events for every park listed. You can look at them all together or for each separate park. http://www.dbg.org *On the home page of the Desert Botanical Gardens, there's a listing on the left side called "Wildflower InfoSite 2010". http://www.azstateparks.com Go to this site and find the "Ranger Cam" and you will see the most updated reports on wildflower activity by the rangers . http://www.desertusa.net This is a very cool website that I ran across recently. It has a tremendous variety of places to see and things to do all around the state in the desert. It also has great tips on photography, hiking trails, etc. |
