This weeks Linux meeting will demonstrate the WUBI install of Ubuntu Linux, on a Windows operating system. This style of install allows the user to add a file to Windows which will give the user the choice of using Windows or Ubuntu on boot up. Later if the user changes their mind about Linux it can all be removed with Add/Remove programs. This is the perfect system for members to try Linux, without committing to a permanent change.

This weeks SLUG meeting will be an INSTALLFEST. Bring in your Desktop or laptop for a Full, Dual Boot, or WUBI install of Ubuntu Linux operating system. Minimum System requirements: 512 mg of Ram, Pentium 4 processor, and depending on install selection either a 80 Gig hard Drive or 10 Gig of free space on Windows operating system. You also need to have either a Cable or DSL internet connection.
