Ed Zarr Ed has been in Mesa since 1963 with over 30 years at 8th Place in Mesa, and for the last 7 years Sunland Village East. Ed is very active in the SVE community, serving as past moderator at the Chapel., Member of the Block Watch, and Program Director and President of the Computer Club. Community activities include Membership in the First Lutheran Church, and Program Coordinator for the Arizona Alliance of Computer Clubs. Ed was instrumental in organizing both the Sunland Village Computer Club and the Arizona Alliance of Computer Clubs. Ed also currently serves as our representative to the East Valley users group, Vice-President of the Alliance as well as Program coordinator for this group of clubs. This in itself would be a full time job as the Alliance serves 15,000 individuals. Before retiring Ed was with Sears Roebuck and Co. for 22 years. Serving as Division Manager and Salesman of Major appliances. In addition he runs his own Antique business, buying and selling Depression Glass. Ed is considered one of the leading experts in this field. We are certainly lucky to have Ed as part of our group and we really appreciate his personal motto of ” Try to help someone everyday”.
