How to Join SVECC Yahoo Mail

1. Open Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox.

3. Select “Groups” from left panel.

4. In Search Box, type in: svecc-announce

5. When the search engine returns one group, click on “svecc-announce”.

6. Click “Join This Group.”

7. You will go to a Sign In Page. If you already have a Yahoo ID and password, sign in. If you do not have a Yahoo ID and password, click Sign Up.

8. Fill in the sign up form. Go ahead and make a new email account with Yahoo. You must do so to sign up. But you never have to use it if you don't want to.

9. Be sure and add an alternate email address; the one you want to use to receive your SVECC emails. You will be able to make this your primary email address after you have successfully signed up.

10. Once you have been successfully signed up with Yahoo, you will be taken to a page to join the svecc-announce Group.

11. Under Step 1. Your Contact Information, locate your alternate email address, and click "verify."

12. Yahoo will send an email to your alternate email address. You must open your mail browser, find their email, and click the button that requests a verification of your email address.

13. Now that your new email address is verified, go back to the svecc-announce Group page.

14. Select the new E-mail address as your primary address by clicking the circle button by the new address.

15. Finish joining the Group.

16. Now, at very top, where it says “Welcome”, Click on “My Account”

17. You get to sign again!

18. Click on “Edit Your Marketing Preferences”. (Uncheck all the boxes if you don't want to be Spammed.)

19. Click Finished.

20. Sign Out.
